Daniel C. Boyer [USA]

Daniel C. Boyer is an artist and director of The New York Boyer Foundation, the organisation that promotes education and interest in the visual and performing arts. He graduated from Curry College in Milton, MA with a B.A. in Politics and History and studied 2-dimensional Mixed Media at Harvard University. He’s prolific mail artist with his art part of a number of collections and archives. Daniel sent us a small pen and ink drawing on Bristol board, a portrait of French novelist Alexander Dumas.

Susan Gold [Canada]

Susan Gold is a Canadian visual artist, retired university professor, researcher, and curator. Her art has been exhibited in numerous solo and international group exhibitions all over the world. She also took part in conferences, workshops, and mail art project.

Susan sent us a card with a modified postage stamp and a description, inspired by “The Order of Things: An Archaeology of the Human Science” – Les Mots et les Choses, by the French philosopher Michel Foucault.

Francisca Geron Herrera [Mexico]

Francisca Geron Herrera from Veracruz in Mexico has sent us a small card dedicated to one of the world’s most famous books – “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This novella was published in 1943 and since translated in 300 languages and dialects. Though considered children’s literature, the book is speaking about life and humanity and its philosophy appeals to adults around the world.

Kader Sürmeli [Turkey]

Kader Sürmeli is a Turkish artist, researcher, and art organiser. She is currently Head of Department/Communication Design at the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. She sent us a digital print inspired by Jerzy Kosiński’s widely commended, yet controversial novel “The Painted Bird” (1965).
